Numena

Based in Denmark, Numena (meaning “a thing in itself inaccessible to experience”) is a secure online space for exchanging information as “your safe window to the world.” The notion of safeguarding data in a connected world (the internet) focuses on shared user connectivity within layers of encryption and a solid wall of protection. Whatever type of work being executed or shared from end to end via zero-knowledge services, Numena offers secure community services for online productivity and collaboration.

Thomas Llewellin Architect

With over 30 years of diverse skills and international experience, Thomas Llewellin Architect specializes in architecture, landscape and project management. The brand concept highlights the value of connections between the duality of what TLA brings: site planning and design with project management, sustainability with vernacular architecture, and architectural knowledge with user experience. Thomas' expertise and well-rounded approach offers clients an unique, integrated point of difference.

Midori

Midori is an modern, sophisticated urban development located in the heart of Metrotown. The unique, art-inspired architecture of the building incorporates a curved exterior detail, bringing forth a sense of fluidity and movement. Thus the handwritten, human quality of script lettering (reminiscent of distinctive upscale fashion brands) reflects the clean, stylish fashion-forward sensibility of the target audience and the surrounding location.

Caravan

CARAVAN was proposed as a travelling festival initiated to celebrate the best of the Thompson Okanagan region, including fresh produce, wine, recreation, First Nations culture, and yoga retreats. The logomark brings together varied letterforms travelling in single file, adopting cues from the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association brand palette and textured qualities from the BC Tourism identity. The variations in type evoke the rugged, ever-changing landscape of the beautiful country as well as the exciting diversity of events, vendors & goods featured.

Prohibition at Rosewood Hotel Georgia

Rosewood Hotel Georgia’s luxurious five-star Vancouver bar experience, led us to build upon themes of mystique, taboo and "half-hidden" as per the Prohibition era. The concept of "Vintage Modern” uses sophisticated letterforms and timeless stylistic cues to bridge the past with the present. A graphic florette comprised from logotype elements, evoke a sense of gathering and energetic celebration, while referencing the mixology aspect of drink ingredients.

Exchange-A-Blade

EAB (Exchange-A-Blade) provides building trades with high quality power tool accessories at competitive prices. The graphic shape surrounding the logotype is inspired from the carbide tip found in EAB's best-selling saw blades while the angled shape conveys an active, forward momentum found in their powerful cutting and drill products. StaySharp—their non-exchangable blade product line—was given the same slanted treatment and graphic A in the logotype thus creating a connection between both brands and reinforcing the sense of sharpness in the letterforms.

Nextbus

Nextbus provides accurate, real-time arrival info at transit stops and online, allowing users to track vehicles on their phones or computers in order to save time, stay safe and plan schedules. The 2-arrowed logomark alludes to the speed and efficiency of the service, while making the technology involved behind the scenes virtually invisible to the user. An alternate logo proposal emphasized the "bus" side of the name, highlighting the traceable route from point A to B.

Highland House

Highland House features contemporary apartment living in the heart of Simon Fraser’s UniverCity community. Influenced by stylish academia fashion and the natural greenery of the mountain location, a loose storyline was developed for the photographic talent (who had never met before but easily found common ground) to capture the authentic lifestyle and target audience required.

Central

Identity system for Vancouver real estate development in Southeast False Creek. Named for it's proximity to amenities, outdoor activities, and views of Metro Vancouver, the Central logomark has a contemporary modular quality very much like the exceptional and innovative architectural design itself.
